Rosa Parks by Andrea

Rosa Parks

By Andrea

Hello, I’m Rosa Louise McCauley and I was born on February 4, 1913. I grew up on a farm in, Tuskegee, Alabama. I became a seamstress when I was older. I believed that all Americans should have the same rights. I worked very hard for the Civil Rights Movement. The civil rights movement worked to get the same rights for black and white Americans.  I was honored in many ways for my work in the Civil Rights Movement. I received the Medal of Honor for helping other people. I was a hero to many people. On October 24, 2005 I died at age 92.
