Thurgood Marshall speech
By Derek
Hi! I’m Thurgood
Marshal. I’m thrilled to be here today to tell you about my life.
I was born
on 1908 July 2. I spent my youth on Druid Hill Avenue in Baltimore. I enjoyed
playing in the back alley with
the tough kids.
My brother Aubrey did not. When it was time for dinner my mother used to go the
front door and call my older brother. Then she’d go to the back door and call
me.
At the
all-black Frederick Douglass High school I played football and led the debate
team. I earned a B average and also loved to socialize.
